Lent Resources

From Ashes To Hope

We hope you will have a holy and meaningful Lent, and we are pleased to offer a number of resources to nurture you in your journey.

Our booklet of meditations this year is From Ashes to Hope. We are “marked for salvation,” reminds pastor John Windell in this series of short stories and vignettes on Christian discipleship for Lent 2012. With the down-to- earth, personal voice of a storyteller, Windell guides us on a challenging Lenten journey sure to inspire Christians of all backgrounds.

Available as a print book , Kindle ebook , or Nook ebook . We also have a number of other publications for Lent. Check out our Lent sampler packages, How to Keep Lent, or the Way of the Cross. And there are more titles too.

Forward Movement offers Lent Madness!

Lent MadnessJust for fun – vote for your favorite saint!

This year, Forward Movement is sponsoring a popular online competition to see which saint will win the coveted Golden Halo. Based on college basketball’s March Madness, Lent Madness  pits saints against one another each day during Lent. Read about the saints, learn about their lives, be inspired, and laugh. Featuring “celebrity bloggers” Meredith Gould, Penny Nash, Bosco Peters, Heidi Shott, Adam Thomas, Laura Toepfer, Neil Alan Willard, and Chris Yaw. The “chief coach” is Tim Schenck. Vote early, and vote often.

Starts February 23, the day after Ash Wednesday.
