This newly revised edition of "Centering Prayer," published in October 2010, offers a helpful introduction to this spiritual practice with roots in the 14th century and later outlined by Thomas Keating in his book Open Mind, Open Heart.
Centering prayer, also called prayer of the heart, is a form of prayerful meditation that calls us to loving attentiveness to God in our lives. This pamphlet provides guidelines for practicing centering prayer and answers Frequently Asked Questions concerning this popular form of contemplation.
