Honest to Goodness: Discovering the Truth & Beauty of a Loving God

This devotional book invites readers to spend time each day examining God’s own words in the Old and New Testaments so that we might better understand who we are, who God is, what God expects from us, and—likewise—what we can expect from God. Through the words of Jesus, we discover the one-ness of the Father’s love, revealed in the beloved Son through the power of God’s Holy Spirit.

The Disciple’s Way: Daily Reflections for Lent

Forward Movement began in 1935 with a bold summons to follow Jesus. The first publication, The Disciple’s Way, issued a stirring call to individuals and the wider church to practice seven steps of discipleship: turn, follow, learn, pray, serve, worship, and share. In this season of Lent, embrace the seven steps with encouragement from the original publication and daily meditations written by current leaders of the church. As the first Disciple’s Way promised, this journey is high adventure, requiring time, effort, pluck, and money. Following Jesus is not easy, but it is The Way.

A Spring in the Desert: Rediscovering the Water of Life in Lent

Frank and Victoria Logue offer a Lenten journey inspired by the many passages of scripture that use images of water in the desert as a sign of the healing and wholeness that come through God alone. To this they add the distilled wisdom of the Desert Mothers and Fathers and the surprisingly rich inspiration of the plants and animals that thrive in an arid land. Along the way, they will share the ways our faith speaks to the barren places in our lives and how those times of drought can be a source of strength.

Easter Triumph, Easter Joy: Meditations for the Fifty Days of Eastertide

We proclaim the joy of Christ’s Resurrection on Easter Day, as we experience God’s grace, mercy, and love. But what if we allowed ourselves more time to celebrate the fullness of the Resurrection and its meaning in our own lives?

Author Scott Gunn offers meditations for each of the fifty days of the Easter season that draw us deeply into the mystery and wonder of the empty tomb. His reflections ask us to consider the critical question: how does the triumph of love and life over evil and death change our lives?

Forward Day By Day

Forward Day by Day is a quarterly booklet of daily inspirational meditations reflecting on a specific Bible passage, chosen from the daily lectionary readings as listed in the Revised Common Lectionary or the Daily Office from the Episcopal Church’s Book of Common Prayer.

Each month’s meditation is written by a different author. The meditations are rich in substance and offer a wide range of witness and experiences.
